STEEL
All steel sections are manufactured following the Australian Standards AS1163. Mill Certificates will be provided. For those steel sections used for piling purposes, GTS recommends using Australian Standard AS2159.
Standard Australian material grades range from C250, C350 and C450. Steel can be offered in other grades if required (e.g. ASTM grades, API grades, and more). Steel manufacturing processes include SMLS, SSAW, LSAW and ERW. Refer to the following sections below for further details.

SEAMLESS STEEL PIPE (SMLS)
Seamless (SMLA) steel pipes are considered ideal for transporting oil, natural gas, water and are ideal for marin piling. SMLA standard lengths are 12m.
SPIRAL SUBMERGED ARC WELDED STEEL PIPE (SSAW)
SMLS standard lengths are 12m. Lengths can vary up to 70m.
LONGITUDINAL SUBMERGED ARC WELDED STEEL PIPE (LSAW)
SMLS standard lengths are 12m. Lengths can however vary up to 12m.
ELECTRIC RESISTANCE WELDED STEEL PIPE (ERW)
Pipe with short weld joints, high dimensional accuracy, uniform thickness and can bear high pressure. ERW standard lengths are 12m. Lengths can vary up to 18m.
SHEET PILES
Our sheet piles are manufactured as grade 350 steel and are produced in 'U' and 'Z' sections.
All our steel products are supplied with Mill Certificates. Standard lengths for both 'U and 'Z' sections are 12m.
